While January has been a wet, snowy, rainy and cold month in mid-Missouri, it has impacted the recent drought we’ve been facing.

National Weather Service (NWS) St. Louis meteorologist Jayson Gosselin tells 939 that Eagle that Columbia has received 2.74 inches of precipitation this month. That number also includes any snow or sleet. That’s .69 inches of precipitation above normal for the month, with today left to go.

January 31 is expected to continue to be dry across the region.
