(LISTEN): “Missouri Times” publisher Scott Faughn discusses Missouri Secretary of State and Treasurer races on “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”

Then-State Rep. Jason Kander (D-Kansas City) beat then-Missouri House Speaker Pro Tem Shane Schoeller (R-Willard) by 39,000 votes in Missouri’s 2012 secretary of state race. Mr. Schoeller is now in his third term as Greene County’s clerk in Springfield, and is running again for Missouri secretary of state. “Missouri Times” publisher Scott Faughn joined us live on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”, telling listeners that Mr. Schoeller is a great candidate with a solid record in the state Legislature. Mr. Faughn says Schoeller can win the primary and the general election this year, if he can raise enough money. Faughn also says State Sen. Denny Hoskins (R-Warrensburg) will be a formidable candidate who will raise a lot of money. Mr. Faughn also discussed the Missouri treasurer’s race on the program, and weighed in on State Rep. Scott Cupps’ (R-Cassville) recent criticism of Auditor Vivek Malek’s office. Faughn tells listeners he believes Vivek Malek will raise $4-million to $5-million dollar in the race, will outspend the field and will win the November election:
