Teenager seriously hurt after lake jet ski crash

A 16-year-old boy has serious injuries after a jet ski crash at the Lake of the Ozarks. Troopers say the crash happened at around 7:05 p.m. Sunday when the two jet skis jumped the wake from a cruiser at the same time, then collided. Search for missing Columbia man continues

Authorities are still searching for a missing Columbia man. Daniel Thompson, 41, was reported missing on July 7, and the last known contact from him was on June 26. Thompson’s vehicle was found near the Rocky Forks Conservation Area, and the Highway Patrol spent Sunday searching the area for him, but were not successful. He is 5’8″, 180 pounds with …

Gunshots reported in northwest Columbia

Police responded to reports of weekend gunshots in northwest Columbia. ABC 17 reports it happened late Saturday night on Newton Drive, near Providence and Vandiver. Officers say they found property damage, but it doesn’t appear that anyone was hurt. There is no suspect information released yet.
